Our 18th century house has been completely redecorated to a high standard and is a perfect place to enjoy your holiday. Situated in the Méouge valley the terrace offers stunning views of the small village of Salérans and the mountains beyond. It is a haven for wildlife; the sound of the cuckoo and woodpecker travel across the valley; roe deer sleep in the woodland in front of the house; sanglier can be spotted and heard as well as swifts nesting in the eves of the house and so many different birds and butterflies in the garden. The perfect place to relax and let us take care of you during your stay.

ABOUT US

Kate first discovered the region in 1998 whilst working as an assistant English teacher in Sisteron school. In 2015 Paul and Kate spent the summer exploring the area and both fell in love with the Méouge Valley. The empty roads were a road biking paradise and the tranquil mountains perfect for walking and mountain biking.

Paul and Kate both share a passion for the great outdoors, whether road biking, mountain biking, running, walking or climbing and having left hectic jobs in Scotland they decided to move to France and establish a ‘chambre d’hôtes’ to welcome and introduce other outdoor enthusiasts to the region.

Paul is a particularly keen runner and cyclist having completed several triathlons including an iron-distance race and the Ben Nevis triathlon, two Etape du Tours and also enjoys long distance running having taken part in long distance races such as the Snowdonia Marathon, Lharig Ghru race and the Lake District 10 peaks ultra marathon. He is also a Level 1 Triathlon coach.

Kate loves cooking and providing guests with healthy home baked dishes. She is particularly passionate about using local produce wherever possible either home grown at Serre Des Ormes or from local markets and suppliers.
